Live music on Bournemouth seafront to mark Queen's Jubilee
BOURNEMOUTH is set to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee in brilliant beach-front style with two days of free entertainment.
With a line-up of live music, tribute bands, dance acts and competitions, as well as the screening of The Jubilee Concert, live from Buckingham Palace, the beach is certainly the place to be to enjoy the extended Jubilee weekend.
The party starts on Sunday, June 3 from 2pm to 10pm with highlights include Tea Dance, Zumba-thon and a live concert featuring tribute acts Beached Boys, Tom Canning as Tom Jones and, of course, Qween.
The celebrations continue on Monday, June 4 from 2pm to 10.30pm with entertainment including the live screening of the Queen’s Jubilee River Pageant, fashion show, dance and, from 6.45pm, the live screening of The Jubilee Concert, live from Buckingham Palace.
The fun takes place to the east of Bournemouth Pier, but the celebrations continue throughout the town centre.
There will be entertainment including There Will Always Be An England and Symphonic Beatles with Live Beaphonic at Bournemouth Pavilion and celebrations on Bournemouth Pier and at the Pier Theatre.
The exhibition Photographs from the Royal Collection will be on display at the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum and there will be a Royal Aquatic Tour at the Oceanarium and a Diamond Jubilee Proms in the Park musical evening with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
Special refreshments will also be on offer throughout the weekend at Harry Ramsden’s as part of Harry’s Jubilee Weekend, or sample the patriotic red, white and blue cocktail available at Hot Rocks Restaurant, made especially for the occasion.
