VILLAGE TUCKTON

TUCKTON VILLAGE With the kindest and caring people These are a few words of sincere appreciation whilst I am still in the land of the living, for the kindness and helpfulness to the wonderful folk of Tuckton Village to my late husband Stanley Custance and myself during the thirty years we have been amongst you. You will all know how you individually welcomed and supported us down the years, but I would particularly like to mention The New Church, which welcomes people of any creed or religion to come in and pray. The Dentist, the Surgery which grew and has moved onto The Marine Surgery and has given us excellent care. Keith Long and his wife Rosalin, the Pharmacist very recently retired who went far from the call of duty, the Bakers, the Laundrette where Stan would talk to Linda whilst waiting, the Post Office, the Bird Food shop, the Fish and Chip shop with their special pensioner deals, the Florists who were so kind and helpful when Stan died, Wessex Fine Foods, the paper shop and the Undertakers whose sensitive, compassionate service was a real comfort in my time of grief and sense of loss. They will no-doubt be looking after my earthly remains equally well when I leave this life behind. Thenk you all so very much, Margaret Custance.
