ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 KING JOHN AVENUE (LANE CLOSURE) THE POOLE (KING JOHN AVENUE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2015 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Borough and County of the Town of Poole, the Highway Authority, is satisfied that traffic on the said Road should be prohibited and intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order in exercise of its powers under Section 5, 14(1), 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers as detailed above. The effect of this Order is that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed northbound along King John Avenue to its junction with Magna Road for a distance of approx. 115m. (from outside No. 4 King John Avenue to the junction). The lane closure is required from I September until 21 September 2015. Residents of the closed section of road will be informed by letter nearer the time of die proposed works. Emergency Services will be given precise details of the closure dates in due course by the Contractor. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Emergency vehicles will be accommodated on a one-off basis.

The proposed closure is required for replacement of gas mains and services
The proposed Order is effective from Tuesday I September until Monday 21 September 2015. The Order is operative for the period mentioned above but will continue in force for the statutory period of eighteen months if required.
If the works are not completed within the statutory period the Order may be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Order will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £400.
