1. Notice is given that an open floor hearing will be held by the Examining Authority for the examination of the application made by Navitus Bay Development Limited (the Applicant) of 1 Kingmaker Court Warwick Technology Park, Warwick CV34 6WG for a Development Consent Order (DCO) under sections 14,15 and 37 of the Planning Act 2008 for the Navitus Bay Wind Park (the Application). The Application was made on 10 April 2014 and accepted on 8 May 2014 (reference: EN010024).

3. The Application relates to the construction and operation of an offshore wind farm off the Dorset and Hampshire coast to the west of the Isle of Wight.

 4. The Application comprises up to 194 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a maximum tip height of up to 200 metres, up to one meteorological mast, up to three offshore substations, inter-array cables that collect and transfer power generated by the WTCs to the offshore substations and export cables that take the electricity generated by the WTGs to shore. The onshore electrical works consist of underground cables running from mean low water at the Taddiford Gap between Barton-on-Sea and Milford-on-Sea to a new onshore substation in proximity to the National Grid substation at Mannington in Dorset and an underground connection between the two substations.
