Council Tax Single Person Discount - Data Mining Exercise Bournemouth Council has a duty to protect the public funds it administers and to this end may use information it holds for the prevention and detection of fraud. Over the next few weeks, properties where the occupant is in receipt of a single person discount on their council tax account will be compared with data held by a credit reference agency to determine other occupancy at the same address.
