ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1 984

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ARROWSMITH ROAD (JUNCTION ADJACENT 'GLEDDOCH' TO GRAVEL HILL) THE POOLE (ARROWSMITH ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2015

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Borough and County of the Town of Poole, the Highway Authority, is satisfied that traffic on the said Road should be prohibited and has made an Order in exercise of its powers under Section 5, 14(1), 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers as detailed above, the effect of this Order is that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed along Arrowsmith Road from the junction adjacent to 'Gleddoch' to its junction with Gravel Hill. Frontagers and Emergency Services will be given precise details of the closure dates in due course by the Contractor.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Emergency vehicles will be accommodated on a one-off basis. Where practicable there will be access for residents only. Residents of the closed section of road will be informed by letter nearer the time of the proposed phased works.
The closure is required for micro asphalt resurfacing of the carriageway
The proposed Order is effective from 8.30am on Tuesday 29 September 2015 until 5.30pm on Friday 2 October inclusive, effective 8.30am to 5.30pm daily. The Order is operative for the period mentioned above but will continue in force for the statutory period of eighteen months if required.
If the works are not completed within the statutory period the Order maybe extended with the approval ofthe Secretaryof State for Transport.
Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Order will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £400.
