ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE MANSFIELD ROAD THE POOLE (MANSFIELD ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2016 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Borough and County of the Town of Poole, the Highway Authority, is satisfied that traffic on the said Road should be prohibited and intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order in exercise of its powers under Section 5, 14(1), 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers as detailed above, the effect of this Order is that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed along that part of Mansfield Road affected by the works. Frontagers and Emergency Services will be given precise details ofthe closure dates in due course by the Contractor. A diversion will be signed and access for residents where practicable. Pedestrian access will be maintained atall times. Emergency vehicles will be accommodated on a one-off basis. The closure is required for the relaying of gas mains and services.

The proposed Order is effective between Monday 23 May 2016 and Friday 27 May 2016 for Mansfield Road from its junction with Bournemouth Road for a distance of 50 metres, and also between Monday 30 May 2016 and Friday 10 June 2016 for Mansfield Road between its junction with Blair Avenue and Mansfield Avenue. The Order is operative for the period mentioned above but will continue in force for the statutory period of eighteen months if required.
If the works are not completed within the statutory period the Order may be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in
contravention of the Order will be liable on summary
conviction to a fine not exceeding £400.
