(VARIOUS ROADS AND PARKING PLACES) (REGULATION OF TRAFFIC MOVEMENT AND SPEED LIMITS)

(AMENDMENT NOS. 227-237) ORDER 2016

The Council ofThe Borough and County of the Town of Poole, the Highway Authority in exercise of its powers under Section 1(1), 1(3), 1(3A), 2(1), 2(2C), 2(4), 3(1), 4(1), 4(2), 4(3), 5, 19, 26, 28, 32, 35, 35A, 36,45,46A, 47,49, 51, 52, 53, 63A, 65, 66, 81, 82, 84(1), 84(2), 85(1), 85(2), 85(4), 85(5), 88,87,89, 126 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and 65(1), 66(4) and 90(A) of the Highways Act 1980 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 proposes to make an Order the effect of which is as follows:

NO WAITING AT ANY TIME MEANS DOUBLE YELLOW LINES

Dunyeats Road
Impose No Loading/Unloading at Any Time restrictions on the existing double yellow lines at the junction with Upper Golf Links Road and Laurel Drive. Extend the existing No Waiting at AnyTime restrictions and impose No Loading/ UnloadingAtAnyTime restrictions on the southern side for a distance of 6 metres. Introduce new bus stop clearways at the bus stops along Dunyeats Road. Extend the School Keep Clear markings on the north side of the road and introduce School Keep Clear markings on the south side of the road. Impose NoWaitingand NoLoading/UnloadingatAnyTime restrictions outside Broadstone Middle School.

Northmere Road Northmere Drive
Impose No Waiting atAnyTime Restrictions on the south-eastern side of the road from opposite the junction with Sancreed Road to the junction with Aspen Road.
Impose No Waiting atAnyTime Restrictions on both sides of the road at the junction with Northmere Road.

Gravel Hill
Impose a 40mph speed limit between a point 70 metres north ofArrowsmith Road to a point 5 metres south of Blackwater Drive. Provide a shared cycle/footway on the west side between Dunyeats Road and Delph Road.

Highland Road Glen Road
Impose No Waiting atAnyTime Restrictions on the western side of the road from outside No. 18 Highland Road to the entrance of Belmont Court in Glen Road.
Impose No Waiting atAnyTime Restrictions on the eastern side from outside No. 13 to the common boundary of Nos. 15/17 Highland Road.

Impose No Loading/Unloading at Any Time restrictions outside the Leisure Centre entrance.

Birds Hill Road
Change a 6 metre section of the existing 2-Hour Limited Wait, Mon-Fri, 8am-6pm, Except Permit Holders to No Waiting atAnyTime restrictions.

Walton Road
St Clements Road
Impose No Waiting atAnyTime Restrictions on both sides of the road at the junction with St Clements Road.
Impose No Waiting atAnyTime Restrictions from outside No. 13 to No. 19.

Sterte Esplanade
South-western side - Introduce parking bays with a 2-hour limited wait between 8am and 6pm with an exemption for Resident Permit Holders. Permit Holders Only, 6pm-8am. North-eastern side - Impose No Waiting atAny Time restrictions.

Heavytree Road
Impose No Waiting atAnyTime Restrictions on the northern side of the road from outside No. 1 into the turning head.

Devon Road Hunt Road
Remove exemption for Zone M Permit Holders, introduce a new exemption for Zone AA Permit Holders.

Oakley Hill
Provide a shared cycle/footway on the west side from the junction with Oakley Lane for a distance of 33 metres in a northerly direction.

Full details of the above proposals are contained in the Draft Order which, together with a plan showing the length of roads affected and a Statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Orders, may be examined at Transportation Services, Room 159, Civic Centre, Poole BHI5 2RU.
