GRAVEL HILL/ ARROWSMITH ROAD/ DUNYEATS ROAD/ ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
THE POOLE (GRAVEL HILL/ ARROWSMITH ROAD/ DUNYEATS ROAD) (TEMPORARY SPEED
RESTRICTION) ORDER 2016

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Borough and County of the Town of Poole, the Highway Authority is satisfied that traffic on the said roads should be restricted and has made an Order, the effect of which is that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed at a speed greater than 30 mph on the following roads:

Gravel Hill
From its junction with Blackwater Drive to 250 metres south of Dunyeats Roundabout

Arrowsmith Road
From its junction with Gravel Hill for a distance of 750 metres in a north-easterly direction

Dunyeats Road
From its junction with Dunyeats Roundabout for a distance of 20 metres in a westerly direction

The proposed temporary restrictions are required in order to reduce vehicle speeds to create a safer working environment on Gravel Hill.
The proposed Orders are effective between Monday 23 May 2016 and Monday 30 January 2017. The Order is operative for the period mentioned above but will continue in force for the statutory period of eighteen months if required. If the works are not completed within the statutory period the Order may be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in
contravention of the Order will be liable on summary
conviction to the appropriate fine.
