BOROUGH OF POOLE - TRAFFICE MANAGEMENT

BOROUGH OF POOLE

(Traffic Management) (various roads and parking places) (regulation of traffic movement and speed limits)
(amendment nos. 150-157 order 2014

The Council of The Borough and County of the Town of Poole, the Highway Authority in exercise of its powers under Section 1(1), 1(3), 1(3A), 2(1), 2(2c), 2(4), 3(1), 4(1), 4(2), 4(3), 5, 19, 23, 26, 28, 32, 35, 35A, 36, 47, 49, 53, 63A, 65, 66, 81, 82, 89, 126 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and 90(A) of the Highways Act 1980 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 proposes to make an Order the effect of which is as follows:

150 Hilda Road - Provide a Disabled Parking Bay outside No. 2 Hilda Rd

151 Hilda Road - Provide a Disabled Parking Bay outside No. 10 Hilda Rd

152 Recreation Road - Impose No Waiting at Any Time on the south-west side from its junction with Albert Road for a distance of 37 metres in a south-easterly direction Albert Road - Impose No Waiting, Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm outside Nos. l37A to 141.

153 Branksome East and West Area - Impose a 20mph speed limit in the following roads: Norrish Road -Jubilee Road - Dereham Way - Thetford Road - Sheringham Road -Alby Road - Runton Road - Cromer Road - Cromer Gardens - Wroxham Road -Horning Road - James Road -Gorleston Road - Wills Road - Cardigan Road - Connaught Crescent - Central Avenue - Kent Road - Binnie Road -Gloucester Road - Gwynne Road - Francis Road - Douglas Road - Douglas Gardens -Davis Road - Shillito Road - Library Road - Bob Hann Close - Layton Road - Sunny Hill Road - Browning Road -Ebor Road - Beresford Road - Alcester Road - Victoria Crescent - Bridgewater Road - Bridgewater Road. 

154 - Provide an Electric Vehicle Charging Bay in the following roads: Dalling Road - on the southern side 8 metres north of its junction with Coy Pond Road for a distance of 6 metres in a north-easterly direction.

Municipal Road - on the north-west side from a point 40 metres from its junction with Sandbanks Road for a distance of 6 metres in a north-easterly direction.

Also the controls inthe Existing Car Club bays will be amended to include Electric Vehicle Charging Bays.

154 Poole Road - on the south side from a point 10 metres east of the County Gates Gyratory System provision of two bays for a distance of 12 metres in a south-westerly direction.

Seldown Lane - on the eastern side from a point 37 metres north of its junction with Kingland Road for a distance of 6 metres in a northerly direction

Old Orchard - on the eastern side from a point 15 metres south of its junction with Lagland Street for a distance of 6 metres in a southerly direction

Ashley Road -  from a point 32 metres east of its junction with Albert Road for a distance of 6 metres in an easterly direction.

from a point 62 metres east of its junction with Albert Road for a distance of 6 metres in an easterly direction.

156 Constitution Hill Road - Provide a bus stop clearway outside Nos. 4 and 6 and also opposite Nos. 10 to 14 Constitution Hill Road. Impose a 2hr limit (Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm) parking bay on the north-eastern side from a point 40m north-east of its junction with Ringwood Road for a distance of 65 metres. Provision of a pedestrian crossing outside Nos. 8/10. Impose a No Loading, Monday-Friday, 8am-l0pm and 2pm-4pm on the southern side from outside No.12 to Hatherden Avenue.
Impose a School Keep Clear Clearway opposite Nos. 14 to 18.


157 Salterns Road Area - Impose a 20mph speed limit in the following roads:
Glenair Crescent -Glenair Road - Glenair Avenue -Britannia Road - Clarence Road - Mentone Road - Salterns Road - Curzon Road -Wessex Road - Approach Road -Worthington Crescent.

Full details of the above proposals are contained in the Draft Order which, together with a plan showing the length of roads affected and a Statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Orders, may be examined at Transportation Services, Room 159, Civic Centre, Poole BHI5 2RU. Enquirers are advised to please telephone (0l202) 262000 before their visit to arrange a mutually convenient time with the appropriate Officer.
