TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTIONS CABOT LANE/WATERLOO ROAD/ HATCH POND ROAD THE POOLE (CABOT LANE/WATERLOO ROAD/HATCH POND ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2016
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Borough and County of the Town of Poole, the Highway Authority, is satisfied that traffic on the said Roads should be restricted and intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order in exercise of its powers under Section 5, 14(1), 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers as detailed above, the effectofthis Order is that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed other than as follows:
Cabot Lane - eastbound traffic will only be permitted to turn left into Waterloo Road
Hatch Pond Road - westbound traffic will only be permitted to turn left into Waterloo Road
Waterloo Road - traffic will not be permitted to turn right into Hatch Pond Road or Cabot Lane
Frontagers and Emergency Services will be given precise details of the restriction dates in due course by the Contractor. Emergency vehicles will be accommodated on a one-off basis.
The restrictions are required for refurbishment of the traffic signals and to improve pedestrian and cycle facilities
The proposed Order is effective between Monday 1 February 2016 and Monday 6 June 2016. The Order is operative for the period mentioned above butwill continue in force for the statutory period of eighteen months if required.
If the works are not completed within the statutory period the Order may be extended with the approval of the
Secretary of State for Transport.
