SMITH ColinIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing
of Colin Smith on October 4, at the age of 82. Colin was born on June 24, 1942, in Hackney, London, to Henry and Doris (née Yeoman) Smith. He was the beloved husband to Karen, father of Nicola and Paul and grandfather of Luke, Rohan, Elijah, and Evelyn. After the war aged 4, the family moved from blitzed London to Borehamwood in Hertfordshire, where Colin grew up and went to school. He excelled at sports being in the school cricket and football team and also part of the Borehamwood Junior Football Team. After his 'O' levels he joined De Havilland as an apprentice draftsman, following his father into engineering. He later used his engineering knowledge when he joined Desoutter and moved successfully into Sales. His passions were sports, gardening and he was always up for a lively conversation. He was a big character and will be sadly missed.A funeral service will be held at Bournemouth Crematorium on Thursday 24th October at 11:30am.No flowers, please. Donations in lieu may be made to the
