HEARTBROKEN friends of Ringwood youngster Jade Clark are trying to arrange an event in memory of the tragic teen.
A Facebook page – “In memory of Jade Clark, gone but never forgot” – has been set-up by her friends for people to pay their respects to the popular student.
Pictures of the youngster as well as messages have been posted in tribute to the 16-year-old, who died when her red scooter was involved in a collision on the A31 on Sunday night.
Ideas for the upcoming event include a local fun day for families with other suggestions to release Chinese lanterns in Jade’s memory also being mooted.
Tributes to the youngster include one from friend Becky Preston, who said: “I had saved you a dinner.
“We were looking forward to seeing your smiling face again.
“We came out to find you but it was just too late.
“I am still in such shock, we all are. I can’t quite believe what’s happened.
“Some people in life you meet and just like and you were one of them. Funky, beautiful, funny, kind and caring.
“Rest peacefully, sweet dreams angel.”
And Kat Bryant said: “You were my best friend and I could talk to you about anything.
“We had our ups and downs but we were always sisters at heart.
“You’ll be sadly missed by everyone who knew you. I’ve lost a best friend/big sister but heaven’s gained an angel. Love you squiggle. RIP.”
Eliza Atyeo also posted: “Missing you millions Jade.
“Should have seen you yesterday, I had some juicy gossip for you and the girls.
“We aren’t going to let you down at college we are going to keep on behaving like children for you, I'm even going to bring in my own water spray for you.
“I remember when you asked me to do your hair like Emelie Sande and we tried so hard but in the end you looked like Robbie Rotten from Lazy Town.”
Police described their investigation in the collision as “complex” and closed the road for more than 16 hours to allow specialist officers to examine the scene.
More floral tributes were laid at the scene yesterday, as well as an L plate and a Young Firefighters Association t-shirt.
A message to Jade said: “We’re going to miss you so much. Thank you for being our friend. With all the love in the world, from Holly, Lizzie and Cheryl.”
