PLACES for the 10k race in the first ever Bournemouth Marathon Festival are filling up fast - with organisers predicting they will reach full capacity within the next 24 hours.
Thousands of runners from across the UK and abroad have already signed up for the historic event, which takes place next month.
The Supersonic 10k will take place on Saturday October 5 and runners can enjoy music from local bands along the route. The five-kilometre “Speed of Light” race takes place at dusk on the same day along with two junior races.
Earlier today organisers said on the Bournemouth Marathon Festival Facebook page: “Entries for the Supersonic 10k race have been coming in at an unprecedented rate which means it has almost reached race capacity for standard entries - we estimate you have, at most, 24 hours to enter.”
A full marathon and half marathon will take in the sights of Bournemouth, Poole and the surrounding area on Sunday October 6.
