AFTER slipping past Bosnia-Hercegovina 2-1 in their first Group F game, Argentina will be looking to send out a message when they play Iran in today’s first match.
The 1978 and 1986 champions meet a team in Belo Horizonte at 5pm that played out a dire 0-0 draw with Nigeria in what was probably the first poor game of a World Cup that has seen plenty of goals.
The Germans, meanwhile, were mightily impressive when they swept Portugal aside 4-0 in their first Group G match and they will be looking to punish Ghana in a similar fashion and secure their place in the second round.
The teams meet at 8pm in Fortaleza.

Susann Idres is backing her native Germany.
She said: “It was a very good start but Portugal were unlucky. I think the Ghana game will be more difficult - they need a win to stay in the competition. I still think we will win but it will be tight.
“I expect Ghana will be watching Muller closely after his performance in the last game, but Neur and Lahm will be important players for us too.”
Enoch Kwoffie, who lives in Bournemouth, will be hoping his home nation of Ghana can give the Germans something to worry about.
He said: “Obviously it was a very disappointing start to the tournament, we missed out on what seemed like the easiest result in the group to get.
“We have a big hill to climb, but I still have faith in the boys and hopefully the coach will improve his tactics next game and start with our strongest 11.
“Germany is just another team, we can do this - come on Black stars!”
The final game of the day sees Nigeria take on Bosnia-Hercegovina, with both teams having all to play for still.
If Argentina do get past Iran, then the winner of this game will move into second place in the group – a draw will see Nigeria into second ahead of the final matches.
