THE popular Christchurch Food Festival has unveiled a new look for this year.
New posters and logos have been drawn up by The Global Group, which include well-known Christchurch vistas in foodie-style.
The company are also one of this year’s sponsors, along with Christchurch Borough Council.
Cllr Claire Bath, portfolio holder for the economy at the council, said: “The festival gives Christchurch a fantastic opportunity to promote itself as an important food venue and we are excited to be sponsoring the event again.
“We would also like to thank all of the volunteers for their hard work in mounting the festival and giving the town’s economy a major boost.”
The Bournemouth Daily Echo and Wave 105 FM will also back the event, while other major sponsors include Conker Spirits, Poole Volvo, Harbour Hotels, The Captains Club Hotel, Williams Thomson, Filer Knapper, St James Place Wealth Management, Sembcorp Bournemouth Water, Christchurch Chamber of Trade and the John Craddock & Geoffrey Owen Charitable Trust.
Travel Dorset are also contributing to promote sustainable travel to the Festival.
This year’s market takes place on May 9 and 10 and will be held over two sites.
As well as the traditional market in the High Street and Church Street, there will be a new ‘Festival Village’ on the Quomps at Christchurch Quay, where the demonstration theatre and stalls will be located.
Vicki Hallam, chairman of the organising committee, said: “We are really grateful to all of our sponsors for their generosity.
“The Festival is run by volunteers and, if it wasn’t for the sponsorship we receive, we would not be able to put such a great event on.
“We are always looking for more sponsors so if any companies would like to get involved with the Festival as a sponsor, they can contact us at christchurchfoodfest.co.uk/contact.”
