There will be tasty treats, cookery demonstrations and more when the main Christchurch Food and Wine festival event takes place this weekend.
The event promises two full days of live music and entertainment to feature around the town on Saturday and Sunday.
As well as the main festival weekend, restaurants, cafes, pubs, bars and hotels throughout Christchurch will be offering all sorts of excellent offers, special events and delicious menus until May 31.

What’s happening where?
This year, stalls will be in the High Street lay-bys and Alley Market opposite Marks and Spencer, with the popular Piazza Italian Market returning to the cobbled area of Church Street.
The festival village will be located on the Quomps at Christchurch Quay, which is where the cookery demonstrations will be taking place.
The King’s Sunday Market & Family Fun Day will be taking place on the bowling green on Castle Street. There will be stalls selling food, drink and crafts and plenty of activities for children.
What time does it take place?
The Festival Market and Festival Village are both held on Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 6pm. The Kings Arms Family Fun Day will be open on Sunday only from 10am to 6pm.
Which celebrity chefs will be there?
Levi Roots will be making jerk chicken wings and hot and fruity Caribbean coleslaw 11.30am-12.15pm on Saturday in the demonstration marquee, with another demo from 4.30pm until 5.15pm. Dean Edwards, the Masterchef finalist from 2006 and resident chef on ITV’s Lorraine, will be attending on Sunday. Plus, festival patron Lesley Waters will be cooking up a storm in the in the demonstration marquee on Sunday.
Who else will be there?
James Golding from The Pig Hotel, Alex Aitken from The Jetty, Luke Matthews from the Chewton Glen Hotel and Colin Nash from The Three Tuns will also be at the event. Plus, on Saturday morning in the demonstration marquee, the founders of Jimmy's Iced Coffee will be giving a talk on how the Christchurch-based business evolved into a national brand.
What time is the demonstration marquee open?
There will be demos taking place between 10.30am and 5.15pm on Saturday and Sunday.
What food will be on offer?
A variety of local, regional and international food will be on offer from sushi, cheese, bratwurst, breads, cider, cockles, fishcakes, coffee, strawberries, sweets, crepes, wine, marshmallows, seeds, olives, ice creams and toffee vodka.
What’s there for children?
Cookery workshops for children will take place at the Kids Kitchen, held at the Priory School in Wick Lane. These include pizza making, stir fry and in honour of Levi Roots, Caribbean cookery. Booking can be made via the Regent Centre.
Where should I park?
Parking could be a particular problem on Saturday, due to the election count at Two Riversmeet Leisure Centre. Organisers are trying to encourage people to travel via public transport or by bike or on foot.
What else is going on?
There will be music in the Christchurch bandstand, Saxon Square and Priory Gate in Church Street. Acts lined-up include the Swing Unlimited Big Band, Highcliffe Charity Players, Celtic Confusion, Christchurch Music Centre and many more.
What’s the weather going to be like?
There will be sunny intervals on Saturday with the chance of a light rain shower between 10am and 4pm and highs of 14C. Sunday will be cloudy with sunny intervals.
