CANDIDATES fighting to become the next MP for Poole will go head-to-head at a hustings event tonight.
The event is taking place from 7.30pm at St James’ Church in Thames Street, Poole.
The Conservative, Liberal Democrat, Labour and Green Party candidates have all been invited to take part. However Marty Caine, who is standing for The Collective Thinking Party of Britain, has not been invited to participate. But he told the Echo he will still be attending the event.
Conservative Robert Syms has been the MP for Poole since 1997. He has managed to keep his seat in the last four general elections.
The Liberal Democrat candidate for the constituency is Mike Plummer. Labour’s candidate is Katie Taylor and Adrian Oliver represents the Green Party.
