Ahead of the General Election next week, we've asked the candidates for each constituency five identical questions.
They were all given the same amount of time to come back to us with their answers, and while most did respond, some didn't.
The final question - What are your top three policies other than Brexit? - was put forward by one of our lovely readers.
Below you can read what the candidates for Bournemouth West had to say.
- CONSERVATIVE - Conor Burns
Where do you stand on Brexit – Leave or Remain? And why?
I voted to leave for democratic reasons - I believe our laws should be made by the people we elect and can remove. I also see the opportunities for future growth coming from outside the EU - being outside allows us to do trade deals around the world.
Your policy on climate change?
I support our plans to get to net zero carbon emissions by 2050. But I also want us to work to use our green technologies to help parts of the world that are going through high growth to do so in a green and sustainable way.
How will you be helping the NHS if you are elected?
I support the huge extra investment we are putting into the NHS. I will also work to make sure that as our hospital services are reorganised, the patient is kept at the heart of the change.
What is your policy on housing?
We need to increase the numbers of houses being built. I support changes to the planning system to make development easier and we should stop developers from holding land with planning permission where they are not building.
What are your top three policies other than Brexit?
I want our schools to get the extra investment we have promised them. I want to see more police active in our community. And I want us to work at all levels to tackle the problem of begging and rough sleeping.
- LIB DEM - Jon Nicholas
Where do you stand on Brexit – Leave or Remain? And why?
Remain. My work in the UK and abroad over the last 20 or so years has shown me how the UK shapes the EU and benefits greatly from being in it.
Your policy on climate change?
Invest in renewable energy research and development. Help create safer and greener urban areas with affordable and efficient public transport. Maximise initiative for repair, reuse and recycling, the throwaway society is destructive and expensive.
How will you be helping the NHS if you are elected?
A penny in the pound additional taxation to fill the evident funding gap. Proper integration of social and medical care systems, invest in more prevention and early detection programmes, part of this would mean prioritising mental health care with physical health care.
What is your policy on housing?
Support for social housing is vital, when in power in Bournemouth the Liberal Democrats provided this in Bournemouth, more is needed nationwide. The rental market needs to be made more affordable.
What are your top three policies other than Brexit?
Making teaching a rewarded as well as rewarding profession. Saving the NHS from the accidental and deliberate erosion brought about by the Conservatives who wish to steer us towards private health care. Updating our system of elections to make it fair and representative.
