TEN weeks of works means a Fordingbridge road will close and bus routes will be affected.
As part of ‘operation resilience, Hampshire County Council will be undertaking footway and drainage improvement works in Salisbury Street, between Pembridge House and Bridge Road.
The works started on Monday, September 20 and are expected to last ten weeks, meanwhile the road will be closed 24 hours a day.
Phase one of the work will see footway improvement works on the eastern side, phase two involved drainage improvement works between Riverside Place and house number 19 and phase three involves footway and drainage work between Green Lane and house number 12.
The X3, 44A, C15 and Dorset Community Transport Bus will all be affected by the works.
The X3 will enter and exit the town via A338 from Burgate School along Salisbury Street and in both directions using Alexandra Road and Park Road to service both Stops In Salisbury Street B3078 and then returning back to the A338 via Burgate exit.
During the road closure, service 44A will not serve Fordingbridge Salisbury Street and the journey will start from Alexandra Road.
It will not be possible to use the Recreation Ground, Main Post Office (in both directions) and Service Station stop on the C15 because of the road closure.
Passengers for the Dorset Community Transport Bus will be collected on Alexandra Road.
