With the weather growing colder, and the long nights drawing in, we are moving closer to Christmas and the much-anticipated John Lewis Christmas advert.
And following the news that she is set to release her comeback single and accompanying album, Adele is the current favourite to provide the song for the cultural phenomenon.
The advert has become a symbol of Christmas in the UK, racking up millions of hits each year on YouTube.
So iconic are the adverts that the songs featured frequently rank highly in the UK charts, even reaching the number one position on numerous occasions.
So who will proved this year’s song and what do we know about the 2021 John Lewis advert so far?
Favourite to sing 2021 John Lewis Christmas advert song
With Adele having teased her new song, Betfair have provided odds for who John Lewis will pick to sing on their Christmas advert.
She is joined by the likes of Anne Marie, Arlo Parks, Freya Riding and Mabel.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: "Having teased her new song, Adele is hot favourite to be John Lewis's choice to sing in their iconic Christmas advert.
“However, the British songstress has stiff competition from the likes of Anne Marie at 5/1, Arlo Parks at 7/1 and Freya Riding at 12/1.
“Established names such as Ed Sheeran and Coldplay are 14/1 and 33/1 respectively, while Oasis are an outside shout at 100/1."
When will the 2021 John Lewis Christmas advert air?
There is currently no exact date for the 2021 John Lewis Christmas advert's release, however based on previous years, we can expect it to drop in early to mid-November.
Since 2014, the adverts have always been released on a Thursday or a Friday and for the past three years, it has been the November 15 (2018), November 14 (2019) and November 13 (2020).
Based on this pattern, we can expect this year's ad around November 11 or 12.
What was 2020's John Lewis Christmas advert?
Last year's advert was titled Give A Little Love, and featured a little boy who gave some love in a heart shape to a snowman who was melting.
The snowman used the love heart as the middle section of his body, before passing it on to some snowmen without a tyre for their car.
Love continued to be passed from person to person, before the final message reading "Give a little love, together we can make a big difference" appeared.
The advert was accompanied by the song A Little Love by Celeste.
