Amazon looking forward to 'exciting time of the year'
Matthew Redfearn, toys category manager for Amazon said: “It is always an exciting time of year when we release the top 10 toys and we hope this Christmas, unlike the last, that more families will reunite to celebrate with one another.
“As we look forward to spending more time with loved ones, we at Amazon are doing everything we can to spread a little festive cheer."
Other toys to feature in the top 10 include a Spidey and his Amazing Friends playset and a Little Live Pets Gotta Go Turtle.
A Batman 36 inch transforming playset, Balloon Dino and Paw Patroller 2.0 completed the top 10.
Amazon trending machine
Following the release of the top 10 most wanted toys, Amazon has created a 'Trending Machine', where for one day only, people can pick up a top item in different cities.
Passers-by will be able to walk away with one of this year’s must-have Christmas toys for free, on a first-come-first-served basis.
It will also be taken to local hospitals to share some early festive cheer with children.
Matthew Redfearn added: “The Trending Machine has been brought to life with the sole purpose of delivering smiles and making Christmas extra special, not only to passers-by but to the children in hospital who might not be at home this Christmas.”
