Following a big uptake in clients over the lockdown period, a crossfit gym in Bournemouth, which has gone through a big rebranding process and now reaping the rewards, is our Trader of the Week.
Having been in operation for 12 years, CrossFit Bournemouth had been running classes and kept hold of a solid and dependable client base.
However, during the lockdown period, owner and head coach Martyn Lever wanted to expand the business and offer more services, which required a breath of fresh air.
He said: “CrossFit Bournemouth has been running for over 10 years offering just classes and lockdown made us realise something needed to change.
“The rebrand allowed us to offer our services to a wider market and show people that anything is possible.
“Our goal has always been to offer a scalable program to enable members to progress safely and quickly. Unleashing your potential has always been our why and will continue to be our focus going forward.”
Martyn called on the assistance of former Bournemouth University student and product designer Danny Kirkpatrick to help with the rebranding of the gym and produce a new eye-catching logo.
From there, the business in Castle Lane West has also changed its website and functions of its social media platforms to provide easier navigation and to open up to a wide audience.
So, in November 2021, Vectis Method was born.
“Working with Danny meant we could have someone outside the business look in from another perspective and help us create a business and brand we wanted to become, said Martyn.
“A cleaner brand and image allowed for more crisp media channels, website design, and generally a better-looking business and branding to help a larger audience.
He added: “We offer programming for group functional fitness, CrossFit comps, endurance events, and functional strength.
“Whilst still offering sport specific programs for rugby players, footballers, and water sports, the new branding has allowed us to be broader and bolder with helping as many people as possible to reach their full potential, in life and in fitness.”
