MOORS Valley Country Park will host a woodland story-telling event this weekend.
A family art installation called FOREstory will be there, which has beds sharing sound adventures including magical folklore tales and woodland songs.
A wooden sculpture of the popular children’s storybook character Gruffalo will also be there at the park in Ringwood on Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15.
The installation, commissioned by Forestry England, will allow families to come across three large, four poster beds in the forest where they can lie down and listen to the stories from the forest.

Melanie Keddie, marketing manager for Forestry England, South District, said: “Forests are magical places full of diverse soundscapes created by nature.
“FOREstory is a really unique way for families to experience and immerse themselves in these wonderful stories and discover more about what makes Moors Valley such a special place.”
Co-writer and director of FOREstory Lorna Rees said: “Set in a beautiful glade in the forest, each one of these beds creates a sound world inside it.
“Moors Valley is an amazing place and somewhere I have visited with my family many times.”
FOREstory will be open from 10am-4pm on both days.
