Properties which have been waiting for a buyer for some time could mean you are in a better position to haggle the price down, so there’s a chance you could grab a bargain. A welcome prospect, particularly in the current climate.
According to the latest figures released by the Land Registry earlier this month, house prices in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole have risen by 12.2 per cent in the last 12 months.
House prices have fallen for the first time this year, though this is likely more due to holidays than interest rate rises.

Of course, one of the reasons a property might not be selling is because the vendor is asking too high a price and is unwilling to come down on it, so it’s important to do you research on the current market and compare prices to recent sales in the area.
