A POOLE pub will reopen under new ownership next month following an "extensive refurbishment".
The White Brasserie, the company with Michelin star chef Raymond Blanc as a director, is to reopen the Brittania at Ashley Cross on Monday, October 17.
The new owner will reopen the Britannia with a bar, a 150-seat restaurant and a terrace and garden for 100 people.
The White Brasserie Company already operates two sites in the area; The Oaks pub in Highcliffe, as well as Brasserie Blanc in Bournemouth’s Highcliff Marriott Hotel.
Head of design, Inge Watrobski said: “With our signature take on traditional pub style the interiors will be warm and inviting with British-made wool tartans, bespoke deep-buttoned vintage leather banquettes, fabulous wallpapers and our favourite quirky touches.”
The menu will feature traditional pub classics with French influences all cooked fresh to order and using the very best, sustainable produce.
Inge added: "For example, The Britannia will source its meat from the Queen’s butcher, Aubrey Allen, which is renowned for its ethical approach, animal welfare standards and highest quality steaks, pork, burgers and more."
Richard Ferrier, managing director of Brasserie Bar Co said: “The Britannia represents our third venue in the region.
"It is a fantastic space and we hope it will be a popular destination for locals and visitors alike with inviting spaces for food and drink, fun interiors and cosy snugs as well as a stunning garden. We can’t wait to throw the doors open on October 17.”
Resident Holly who lives along the same road as the Britannia is "looking forward" to the site reopening.
Holly said: "It will be good to see the pub back in business. The new design looks lovely, I really like the colour scheme they have gone for."
Another resident Neil said: "It looks good so far, I have no doubt that it will do well round here.
"I'll definitely be making a visit when it opens."
