A NEW cafe in Highcliffe has opened to provide adults with learning difficulties a chance to work in a friendly environment.
On Tuesday, November 29, Stable Family Home Trust launched 'Gifted' cafe on Lymington Road, Highcliffe, the cafe will give clients with learning difficulties the chance to pick up skills in customer service, food hygiene, numeracy and hospitality work.
The cafe also has a gift shop and a garden centre.
This venture will also provide the ideal opportunity for customers to chat with clients in a working environment as well as developing their hospitality skills and giving them confidence when seeking voluntary roles or part-time employment.
As well as hot drinks, they will also be selling a delicious selection of cakes from Shelley's bakery and the café has been sponsored by Hunters, local Estate Agents in Highcliffe.
Gifted is open 9-5pm Monday to Friday but café area will be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1-3pm.
Hunters Highcliffe Estate Agents on Lymington Road are proud to sponsor 'Gifted'.
The directors of Hunters Highcliffe decided to support this charitable venture as they were so impressed with the facilities that are offered for the ‘Gifted Clients’ that work in the garden centre, craft centre & coffee shop.
These activities give the workers the skills and confidence they need to help them live independently as ‘gifted’ individuals with special needs and learning difficulties.
