WOMEN who run their own businesses will gather in Bournemouth for a day of practical training and inspiration to celebrate International Women’s Day.
The fifth annual Momentum Day, taking placer the week after International Women’s Day, is being run by small business mentor and podcast host Erin Thomas Wong.
Subjects will include resilience, why you need a blog, how to use TikTok to grow your business, and the importance of pivoting and adapting to change.
The event takes place on Thursday, March 16, 9.30am-5pm, at Urban Reef Restaurant in Boscombe.
Guest speakers will be Natalie Elliott, entrepreneur, broadcast commentator and founder of beauty brand Sakrid; Joanne Dewberry, blogger, published author and Sage business expert; Penelope Walker, TikTok expert and trainer; Sarah Scudamore, women's movement and wellbeing coach; and Glenda Shawley, founder of Fabulous Networking.
Erin Thomas Wong created Life-Friendly Business seven years ago to support women starting and growing businesses around family life. She is also the host of The Life-Friendly Business Podcast, about reality of running a business when you have children, and the author of Mumpreneur Evolution.
Soma Ghosh, who trades as the Career Happiness Mentor, said of a previous Momentum Day: “I had a great experience at The Momentum Day and feel it was a day of learning, personal development and encouragement.
"Having a business is really overwhelming at times and having opportunities like this to meet other amazing women and mums who are facing similar challenges makes you feel less alone. I feel Erin really created a warm safe environment for everyone on the day.”
