Members of Bournemouth Reform Synagogue who volunteer for the congregation and wider community will be recognised at today's Shabbat service.
Volunteers will participate in leading the service and receive special honours.
Mayor of Bournemouth Robert Lawton will be attending and speaking.
Barry Goldbart, chair of the synagogue and a former mayor, said without volunteers subscriptions would increase hugely and it could be difficult for the synagogue to survive.
Rabbi Maurice Michaels said he welcomed the increase in volunteers in the past few months.
He added that the variety of voluntary work across the congregation reflected the diverse nature of skills that members possess.
The rabbi was also pleased that many were engaged in volunteering for other organisations, as it was important to demonstrate the Jewish community does its bit in the wider world.
