All but one ward of Christchurch Town Council has seen councillors appointed in uncontested elections.
Those who put themselves forward in the Friars Cliff, Jumpers and St Catherine’s, Mudeford and Stanpit, and Priory wards will not be decided at the ballot box on Thursday, May 4.
This is because the number of candidates did not exceed the number of seats in the respective wards, with Priory and Jumpers and St Catherine’s left with vacancies.
The Grange ward will be contested, with Liberal Democrat Robert Dawson, Grange Ward Independents David Jones and Christine Lunn, and Christchurch Independents Simon McCormack vying for the three seats.
Elections are also not required for Burton and Winkton, Hurn, and Highcliffe and Walkford parish councils.
