WIMBORNE Business Improvement District (BID) is inviting visitors to a special community event to celebrate the coronation of King Charles.
The Wimborne Coronation Celebration takes place on May 7 in Wimborne town centre from 11am until 7pm.
The theme for this celebration is tabled as through the year's to celebrate the life of King Charles through the years.
Wimborne BID manager Tammy Sleet said: “It is a joy to be able to put on a community event like The Big Lunch to help celebrate our new King’s Coronation.
"We hope many visitors will come into town on Sunday and the weekend to browse the shops, buy their lunch and enjoy the celebration.”
BID is teaming up with Stir Events to deliver a special day of celebrations.
The events throughout the day will include children’s entertainment, a musical bingo gameshow, blasts from the past with music from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s and to end the evening, a live performance from a duo called BH2 who will be playing music from the 90s onwards.
Other local acts, such as an Elvis tribute act, and bands will also be appearing and performing throughout the day to provide entertainment for all.
