Film lovers can look forward to an evening of productions made by Dorset-based talent.
'Short Film Showcase - Meet the Makers' is set to take place at the beautiful Poole Lighthouse cinema on Saturday, June 3.
Organised by Bournemouth-based author Paul Draper and director Steve McCarten, the event promises to be an exciting celebration of local filmmaking.
Featuring six, and possibly more, short films, the showcase will provide an opportunity for attendees to enjoy the big screen but also get to know the filmmakers.
Each screening at the Kingland Road venue will be accompanied by introductions from the people behind the camera.
Paul, who wrote the ten-minute film HAWKS, said: "If people have an interest in local film, they can come along and relax with six films and chat with the people who made them."
The evening of entertainment will also include a Q&A session, a bar, and networking opportunities for those curious about the filmmaking industry.
HAWKS, a crowdfunded drama set in the 1960s, is about spies and 'what a life of duty asks of people'.
It was filmed during the Covid pandemic in 2021 with scenes shot at Upton House and Country Park in Poole over two days.
It stars Patrick O'Kane, known for his roles in The Fall, Game of Thrones and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, along with Hannaj Bang Bendz (Glamour), Sean Pogmore (Poldark) and other local actors.
The event is expected to run from 7pm until 10.30 pm with the first film scheduled to screen at 7.30pm.
However, the program is subject to change as additional films may be added to the roster.
Tickets for the event, sponsored by Progressive Leadership Solutions (PLS), range from £6.66 to £7.75 and can be bought on Eventbrite.
