A woman from Christchurch has been fined by the courts for breaking coronavirus rules more than two years ago.
Maggy Elizabeth Millar appeared in the dock at Poole Magistrates’ Court in relation to a gathering in London in February 2021.
Court papers stated she was convicted by a single magistrate sitting in Westminster in November 2021 but she was back before the courts to make a statutory declaration this month.
She entered a guilty plea at the Poole hearing on Thursday, May 25, to a charge of taking part in a gathering at a flat in Brook’s Mews, Westminster, on February 28, 2021, consisting of two or more people when tier 4 Covid restrictions were in place.
At the time people in tier 4 areas were told to stay at home and not meet up with other households.
Millar, 23 and of Sarah Sands Close, Christchurch, was fined £120 by District Judge Orla Austin.
The defendant was ordered to pay £110 costs and a £34 surcharge.
