A new shop is opening in Bournemouth town centre bringing together freshly brewed coffee, delicious bakery goods and the quirkiest of ice cream flavours.
Parlour is opening in a refurbished ground floor area of the Bobby’s building.
The store has a vibrant pink and green colour scheme ready to bring a “splash of South Beach to the south coast”.
Customers will be able to grab and go their coffee and light bites or make use of the seating for up to 30 guests outside Bobby’s with views across the Square and Lower Gardens.
Parlour will offer coffee from Bournemouth-based Bad Hand, pastries from Hoxton Bakehouse as well as freshly made sourdough sandwiches and a brand-new ice cream concept.
Speaking on the upcoming opening, manager Stigg Mackay said: “It’s a dream come true to bring a brand new offering to Bournemouth Town Centre.
“With help from a few local legends and our independent team, we can’t wait to give everyone the perfect start to their day or midday pick me up.”
Parlour will offer a range of weird and wonderful ice cream creations including Lucky Charms, Oreos, cherry bakewell and mango.
Customers will be able to create their own ice cream using a 'state-of-the-art' ice cream machine, whether it be a final slice of birthday cake or simply something that has always whetted their appetite.
Simon Brooks, of Bobby's Parlour, said: “It’s fantastic to be bringing a new permanent coffee, bakery and ice cream concept to Bobby's.
“As an independent, and local business, we have been working on the concept and partnerships for a long time.
“Our partners Bad Hand Coffee roast our beans up the road, in the Triangle.
“Our freshly baked pastries and bakery items are supplied by Lymington-based Hoxton Bakehouse, they have just been chosen to cater Wimbledon. Our team, led by manager Stigg Mackay are all very excited to open on July 28.”
Andy Birt, Bobby’s general manager, said: “It is very exciting for Bobby’s to be partnering with Simon to bring the Parlour to Bournemouth.
“The Parlour is a perfect fit with our commitment to work with and promote local independent brands, especially as it will be selling and showcasing fantastic local food and coffee producers. Plus, I know they have some amazing ice-cream creations up their sleeves perfect for the summer holidays.”
To celebrate the launch, Parlour is offering a complimentary coffee for all guests during their opening week by signing up on bobbysparlour.co.uk
