A man has been found guilty of speeding at 100mph in an Audi.
Thomas Jelbert denied an offence of speeding at more than the 70mph limit on a dual carriageway.
The 35-year-old defendant, of Caird Avenue, New Milton, went on trial at Southampton Magistrates’ Court and was convicted of the single charge of speeding on Friday, July 14.
Court papers stated he was driving an Audi on the A303 west at Barton Stacey near Winchester at 30mph above the limit.
Jelbert was remanded on unconditional bail and he is due back before the same court on Tuesday, August 29 for a sentencing hearing.
