THE Dorset Festival celebrated its 15th birthday in style.
Bestival is a family-friendly camping event and action-packed holiday for all ages, accompanied by musical guests and family fun.
Dorset's annual festival made its comeback for its 15th Birthday at Lulworth Castle in Wareham.
The festival took place from 27 July – 30 July.
Even though the festival was shadowed by stormy weather, that didn’t dampen anyone's spirits.
This year, the festival hosted three main stages, Castle stage, Big Top and Bollywood.
Festival goers enjoyed many activities, from science tents and trapeze workshops to jitterbug circus skills.
For the children, CBeebies were at the festival to entertain the little ones and exciting science workshops provided family fun.
Bestival also offered diverse food and drinks for all appetites, from a Cajun chicken vendor to sweet treats such as churros.
In a bid to be different, the festival offered wacky food vendors like chocolate kebabs or a fish and chip doughnut.
The Nohrlund Cocktails bus from Denmark was also at the festival this year, promoting refreshing cocktails to thirsty festivalgoers.
Norhlund offered fruity mojitos, peach and raspberry collins, or a fan favourite of passionfruit martini to enjoy on board their disco cocktail bus.
Rob da Bank, Camp Bestival curator said: “Big up our Camp Bestival birthday ravers! What a weekend with our Camp Bestival family! Josie and I had the best time celebrating 15 years of memories across four magical days and we are thrilled that all our Camp Bestival family could join us.
From a roaring Animal Snap theme to headline sets from Grace Jones, The Kooks and Craig David, it’s been a birthday celebration for the history books, and we can’t wait to bring the magic of Camp Bestival to Shropshire in just three weeks’ time!”
Sophie Ellis-Bextor, an indie-rock English artist who performed this year, called the festival: “The most joyful crowd out there”.
Seven Days singer, Craig David shared his views on the festival, he said: “Rob da Bank gives us the opportunity for us all to come together at this amazing festival. Thank you for sharing this moment – it’s such a core memory for me."
Early Bird Weekend Camping tickets for Camp Bestival Dorset 2024 will go on sale Friday 4 August at 10am.
