A HIGH street Arabic and Kurdish restaurant in Bournemouth has been handed a low food hygiene rating and told it must make improvements.
BCP Council awarded the restaurant, Baghdad, a one out of five food hygiene rating.
Located on Old Christchurch Road, the eatery was given the result on September 5.
In a hygiene review, the following conclusions were made.
-
Improvement is necessary in food hygiene and safety.
-
Improvement is necessary in structural compliance.
-
Major improvement is necessary for confidence in management.
This means that of Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole's 900 restaurants, cafes, and canteens with ratings, 772 (86%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
What each hygiene rating means:
0 - Urgent improvement necessary
1 - Major improvement necessary
2 - Some improvement necessary
3 - Hygiene standards are generally satisfactory
4 - Hygiene standards good
5 - Hygiene standards are very good
