A number of pets in Dorset are looking for their forever homes, including at the Ashley Heath Animal Centre.

Located on the border with Hampshire, the centre offers care for its animals in rural surroundings.

A few animals from the centre are listed below but more can be found on the centre's website.

Rosie

Bournemouth Echo: RosieRosie (Image: RSPCA)

Gender - Female

Age - Four

Breed - Doberman

Colour - Black and Tan

If you want to adopt Rosie you can view their full profile here.

Rosie is described as a loveable dog "with a big heart" who came into the care of the RSPCA due to being found living in unsuitable conditions with another dog.

At the age of four, she had never left the house or garden so the outside world seemed a bit scary at first to her.

However, Ashley Heath has eased things along and has trained her to walk on a lead.

Rosie is now willing to find a new home with patient adopters who are willing to continue her training and make up for lost time.

Milo

Gender - Male

Age - Three years old

Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Colour - Black and White

If you want to adopt Milo you can view their full profile here.

Milo came into the care of Ashley Heath from a multi-cat household and initially took some time to settle in the cattery.

However, he has started to gain confidence and enjoy the attention of the cattery staff and volunteers.

He still enjoys hiding in his bed but will pop his head out when he hears your voice.

Milo is looking for a quiet home where he can take his time to settle and get to know his new family.

Additionally, he is not to be rehomed within five miles of Southampton (SO16).

Hope and Miracle

Gender - Female

Age - Two years old

Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Colour - Black

If you want to adopt Hope and Miracle you can view their full profile here.

Hope and Miracle are two cats who are looking to find a home together, as they both like to curl up on a bed side-by-side and reassure each other.

They may get used to another cat given the time and space, but no dogs. They could also live with children aged 13 years and above.

Additionally, they should not be rehomed within five miles of Fareham (PO16).

Whitney

Bournemouth Echo: WhitneyWhitney (Image: RSPCA)

Gender - Female

Age - Two years old (approx)

Breed - Collie (Smooth coat) crossbreed

Colour - Dark/Grey/White

If you want to adopt Whitney you can view their full profile here.

Whitney came into the care of the RSPCA after she was removed from unsuitable living conditions.

Although initially shy, Whitney is described as "a very sweet girl" and once you have gained her trust, she is playful and full of energy.

She is interested to see what is going on but until she gets to know you, she can be quite worried by sudden movements or touch.

New adopters must respect that she may take time to allow interaction, fuss and attention.

Due to her past, Whitney has never experienced a proper home environment before so new owners would need to show her the ropes.
