MORE than 40 Christmas trees will be on display at Purbeck Christmas Tree Festival.
The event takes place at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Victoria Avenue, Swanage, between Thursday, December 7 and Saturday, December 9.
The trees have been decorated by local organisations, charities, and individuals illustrating ‘Christmas traditions’.
A spokesperson said: “There will be a lovely festive atmosphere with a wide range of music by choirs, ukelele groups, woodwind, drums, and other musical performances during the festival.
“Also, a life size stable with storytelling, in which families can also ‘get in the picture’ and take photos dressed as people in the Nativity story.”
The festival is open from 10am to 6pm with seasonal refreshments available throughout the day.
Admission is free with all donations going to two local charities.
There will also be an opportunity to add ribbons to the outdoor Tree of Remembrance, to remember a loved one.
On Sunday, December 10, at 4pm, there will be a quiet and reflective Lights of Love remembrance service at which you may light a candle, which will be followed by refreshments.
The spokesperson added: “Please bring your friends and family along to Emmanuel Baptist Church to share in this special community event.”
