BOURNEMOUTH Air Festival’s most popular display team will not be returning to next year’s event if it returns.
The Red Arrows will not be appearing at 2024’s event because the team has other commitments with an international tour.
Despite this, Cllr Andy Martin, portfolio holder for customer, communications and culture, said the council doesn’t expect a significant reduction in attendees if the event is to go ahead.

He said: “In 2019, the Red Arrows weren't here because they were off to do a tour of the United States and we only saw a 10 per cent drop in visitor numbers, so not huge.
"The air festival team is also looking at potentially another fast jet team from somewhere in Europe - I know there are conversations already going on.
“It's a shame they can't come, but they've got other commitments. But I'm sure it will still be a great event.”
The world-famous RAF display team has been a major highlight to thousands of fans across the conurbation and beyond.
The team usually appear on every day of the event and draw visitors not just to the seafront to see them perform, but also at the airport as well.
