A UNIVERSITY radio station is going live to Dorset residents for a limited time this February.
Nerve Radio, a station managed entirely by students, will be available for anyone to tune into next week.
Based on the Talbot Campus at Bournemouth University, students will broadcast a diverse range of shows across Dorset, whilst also providing themselves with the opportunity to develop their experience under Ofcom regulations in preparation for their future careers.
The show will kick off with a live music gig, organised by Nerve Radio, held at the Students’ Union campus bar, Dylan’s, on February 9.
Bronwyn Reeve, one of the station's co-managers, said: “We took the last year off FM and now we're back, better than ever.
"We cannot wait to be back on FM and broadcast live to showcase our talent to the people of Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole.”
Pip Hemingway, another station co-manager at Nerve Radio, added: “FM week will be jam-packed with our presenters' best shows, providing the BCP area with entertainment, news, and great music.
“We have a whole variety of shows planned by our presenters, including a mix of cultural music to represent our student body, the latest pop hits, and throwbacks to the noughties.
"Make sure you tune in.”
The radio station will be available to listen on 87.9FM from February 5 to 9 from 8am to 9pm.
