A Dorset resident was the lucky winner of a £1 million premium bond jackpot.
The first bond number drawn in the monthly prize draw was 137BG686951 which was held by the Dorset-based winner.
The undisclosed winner has a holding of £28,051 in Premium Bonds and purchased their winning Bond in March 2008, becoming the twelfth jackpot winner from Dorset.
There was also an additional £1 million jackpot winner from Wandsworth.
Andrew Westhead, National Savings and Investments (NS&I) Retail Director said: "Congratulations to our two £1 million jackpot winners from Dorset and Wandsworth – I hope they enjoy planning what to do with their new-found wealth.
“Premium Bonds are one of the nation’s favourite savings products, and a great way to start a savings habit with as little as £25.
“As well as the exciting prospect of winning the £1 million jackpot, there are also millions of other prizes up for grabs each month worth between £25 and £100,000, with a total prize pot this month of over £475 million.”
Premium Bonds holders can check if they've won a prize in February’s draw from Friday, February 2 on the NS&I website, the prize checker app, or by asking Alexa.
Customers will need their Premium Bonds holder’s number to use the website and their NS&I number or holder’s number to check via the prize checker app. At the same time, they can check for any unclaimed prizes owed to them.
A total of nearly six million prizes worth £475,609,325 will be paid out in the February prize draw.
