A MULTI award-winning salon tucked away in a ‘vibrant’ high street is Daily Echo’s Trader of the Week.
Charlie Ward, 34, owns CWD Hair Design, a hairdressing beauty salon in Westbourne.
Described as a ‘one-stop shop for all your hair and beauty needs’, CWD Hair Design offers hair, beauty, and aesthetic treatments.
The salon has also won many awards for its services, including the best salon team, best salon bridal stylist of the year, creative image of the year, stylist of the year, and extensions of the year.
Talking about the history of the business, Charlie said: “When I first opened, it was just when we came out of lockdown, so everyone thought I was absolutely nuts by opening up a new business at that time.
“But we've just done so well, we've smashed it.
“My team has been brilliant, we won six awards in 2022 and then six last year for 2023 as well.
“I’m so lucky to have such an amazing team, they’ve gone above and beyond for me and the salon and created the best environment.
“Super inspiring and hardworking. We’ve all done so well with the difficult times.
“Everyone works so well together and we're more like a family than a team.”
He also loves the location of the salon in the ‘busy and vibrant high street’ of Westbourne, Charlie added: “I used to live in Westbourne, and I always loved the area.
“So when I was kind of looking for premises, it was between Christchurch, Westbourne and Wimborne.
“Those are the areas that kind of loved and then I was super lucky that this one came up and it was just perfect.”
Charlie also has big plans for the future of the salon, he added: “We're just about to launch all our education courses as well.
“The ones we've got currently booked in are a modern pixie cut hair course, a bridal course, and a modern bob course.
“We also offer not only professional and current services but comfort and relaxation.
“Using a wide range of professional products with every service to make sure you leave happy with the best results.”
CWD Hair Design can be found at 115 Poole Road, Westbourne.
