AT LEAST 12 vehicles were broken into in a spate of thefts overnight.
The vehicles, mostly vans, are believed to have been broken into between 11pm and 11.20pm on Friday, March 8 in the Fordingbridge and Ringwood area.
As well as break-ins, police have said some number plates have also been stolen.
The majority of the reported van break-ins took place in Picket Close and adjoining roads in Fordingbridge.
Hampshire Police has so far received 12 reports, but officers believe other victims are yet to come forward.
Now the force is appealing for witnesses and victims to come forward.
A spokesman said: “If you were in the area at the time of any of these incidents, witnessed anything suspicious, or have any photos or video footage, including dash cam, doorbell camera or mobile phone, please call 101 and quote incident number 44240102577.
“You can also contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
“We’re also keen to hear from anyone who witnessed a red sports car in the area of the thefts, as well as a dog walker and cyclist - seen on CCTV passing the suspects as they broke into a van in Fordingbridge.”
