A POST Office in Ringwood has announced it will be undergoing a lengthy refurbishment later this year.
As a result of the change, the post office will be closed to customers for approximately six weeks.
The store will close on June 4 at 1pm and remain shut until July 18.
In a letter written to customers, it reads: “We are writing to inform you that due to extensive building work at the above location, the branch will need to close.
“The safety of our customers is of paramount importance to us, therefore, to allow for the building work to take place, it will be necessary for the service to close on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 1pm.
“It is envisaged that the work will take approximately six weeks to complete, following which the service will re-open on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 9am.
“Should the dates change, posters will be displayed in the branch to let customers know.
“We would like to apologise for the inconvenience the unplanned closure may cause.”
Nearby post offices include Parsonage Barn Lane Post Office and Ringwood Post Office on Christchurch Road.
Poulner Post Office is situated at Butlers Lane, Poulner, Ringwood.
