Cafe by Jo
The owner of the new café and tapas bar said she is ''excited'' to be open in Poole Road, Wimborne.
Café by Jo is aimed at being a classy, homely café and bar that serves traditional Polish cakes and pastries.
Joanna Siwek-Konys, 44, and from Upton, worked at a café in Poole for three years before opening her own cafe.
Gelato farm shop
A New Forest-based gelato business is preparing to open a new space in Fordingbridge.
The Moody Cow has moved into the former premises of the Fordingbridge Farm Shop in Whitsbury Road and will open in the coming weeks.
Running out of space in its old store based in Round Hill, owner Russ Kitching hopes the former farm shop can help the business continue to grow.
The Merch Shop
The new design and print store has opened in Bournemouth in collaboration with a motorcycle workshop.
Hampshire Design Studios (HDS) has opened a satellite called The Merch Shop in Christchurch Road, along with motorcycle workshop and café, The Old Boys.
The Waterlooville-based business has moved to Bournemouth to help The Old Boys establish a brand while to hoping to continue to build clients in the area.
The Other Guys Kitchen
A new Mexican food kiosk has opened on Poole Quay run by the former chef and manager of Wimborne's Dancing Moose.
Chefs Sam Ogden, 34, and Molly Horwood, 29, have opened a new Mexican food business The Other Guys Kitchen in the kiosks at Poole Quay, moving away from the pub culture of the Dancing Moose.
The couple had decided to open their own business before the sudden closure of the Dancing Moose but due to the sudden nature of its closure, have opened doors sooner than expected.
Bully Cafe
Former school and factory chef, Andrew Newton, 39, has opened his first café, named Bully Café in Castle Lane, Bournemouth.
Named after his childhood nickname, the café is the realisation of a dream for Andrew who decided during COVID it was now or never.
He said: "It's something I've always wanted to as a child, my own café. Before Covid I had a little catering company I was working on the side, I was doing buffets for funerals, a few church events and I was getting really busy and then Covid hit and no one could go out.
"I revisited my dream and then this unit became available and I thought it was a good location. I just saw the sign and thought I'm going to go for it otherwise I'll never."
