AN EASTER egg hunt will come to a heritage railway for four days this Easter.
Keen eyed train passengers on Swanage Railway this bank holiday weekend can spot Easter eggs along the line and at stations.
Entry for the hunt is free for anyone who has a train ticket, with passengers able to pick up an entry form from the Norden, Corfe Castle and Swanage booking offices.
Pencils cost £1 per pack so the entry forms can be completed, with the option to colour in the entry forms, too.
Completed forms can be taken to the Easter egg stalls at Swanage or Norden stations for them to claim their prize.
Alternate steam and heritage diesel trains will be running along the line throughout the Easter bank holiday weekend, departing Norden between 10.40am and 4pm and Swanage between 10am and 4.40pm.
Next to Norden station, the Purbeck Mining Museum will also be open across the weekend, between 11am and 4pm, celebrating the 2,000 year history of ball clay mining.
Volunteer Swanage Railway commercial director, Robert Patterson, said: “The Easter bank holiday is the perfect time for families to enjoy a day out in the Isle of Purbeck, experience a nostalgic ride on a steam or diesel train and spot Easter Eggs along the line, and at our stations, to claim a free prize.”
