Do you remember what Bournemouth town centre looked like 15 years ago?
Since 2009, Bournemouth town centre, like many other town centres across the country, has changed a lot.
With the loss of Imax, the pedestrianisation of Old Christchurch Road and Horseshoe Common - Bournemouth town centre has gone through much change.
Bath Road flyover
In 2009, there was the Imax leisure complex at Pier Approach which could be seen from the flyover. Coming down Bath Road, it blocked the sea view.
Now, though, it is a crazy golf course.
Old Christchurch Road
In 2009, the old steel canopy was still around (it came down in 2021). In 2009, House of Fraser was still open (it closed in 2022).
Beales was also open in 2009 - it isn't now - and Old Christchurch Road wasn't pedestrianised at this part.
Now, this part of Old Christchurch Road is very different to what it looked like 15 years ago.
Westover Road
This 'Bond Street of Bournemouth' has seen some considerable changes over the decades. But in 2009, there was still a cinema in place. Now it's an abandoned place where development seems to have halted.
Winter Gardens
In 2009, this plot of land had restaurants and businesses. But since then it has been knocked down, with plans for regeneration by BCP Council. The authority insists it is still a priority for them, but no plans have been revealed.
Terrace Road
The view from this road has also changed a lot in 15 years. The old car park was lost in 2017 with the opening of BH2 and, in 2015, the £60 million Hilton Hotel was officially opened.
