A GROUP of passionate stamp collectors have announced their stamp fair and are keen to get more people involved in the popular pastime.
Stamp collecting has been a popular hobby for years and the Poole and Bournemouth Stamp and Postcard Club are on a mission to bring a new wave of collectors to the hobby.
The event will take place on September 7, 2024 and will be held in St Dunstan’s Church Hall, Dorchester Road in Upton.
There will be dealers and collectors on hand to help those who are trying to get into the hobby.
The club hopes the fair will inspire more people to get stuck in. It claims it is a cost-effective and educational hobby anyone can get involved with.
One of the most accessible methods to get into the pastime is by checking the charity shops for old or unwanted stamps people have given away. The Poole and Bournemouth Stamp and Postcard Club said the fair is a great way to learn all the tips of the trade.
Great Britain has produced approximately 5,000 stamps since 1840 and means that is no time like the present to jump into the world of stamp collecting and investigating. This means there are plenty of stamps out there for people to collect.
