APPLICATIONS are open for the 10th edition of a summer course for young musicians.
The Poole Society for Young Musicians Charity will host its 10th annual course, with chamber music coaching, string orchestras, wind and brass bands, junior and senior orchestras and supporting musicianship building activities.
The course features highly skilled and inspiring professional musicians and promises to be a ‘tremendously fun way to start the summer holiday’.
Last year, a total of 165 local young musicians took park.
The course is inclusive so any child can take part, to enjoy making music at the highest level.
There was a mix of all genres from Haydn to Jazz, the participants finished the course by singing Bridge Over Troubled Water.
The society is supported by Soundstorm Music Agency and works in association with the Royal Academy of Music in London.
Applications for the course, which takes place between July 24 and 27 at Lytchett Minster School, close on June 2.
